As per the guidelines set forth by the Australian Ministry of Home Affairs, international students need to maintain health insurance for the entire duration of their stay in the country, failing which their visa is liable to be revoked.

Who needs NIB OSHC?

A NIB OSHC plan covers you, you and your partner, as well as your first family, provided they are listed on your student visa.
However, the NIB cover does not include your extended family members, such as cousins, uncles, aunts, and grandparents.
